While as a working mom, I don’t homeschool my daughter, I still find time to read to her and ensure that she is constantly challenging her mind beyond what is taught in school. I have shared this before, and I will again. This book is my absolute favorite. Kate Messner did an amazing job with this book and Christopher Silas (pictures displayed are his) did the illustration and I spent countless hours scouring his website to see if he did some more illustration for other kids book, but not really, most of them were cover designs only.
Camille read this book page to page last winter , so we brought it out again this winter, seeing that we may have snow this week, makes for perfect timing. She is constantly looking for claws, deer prints, bullfrogs, mice and many more creatures who get creative during the winter. Her favorite is the bumblebee.
